Hello, i'm Calv.
I'm an illustrator based in sunny northeastern of Brazil, and I love telling stories through drawings.

I love creating colorful, funny and happy characters, and I live in constant indecision about dot eyes or full eyes. 

Since I started my art career in 2019, I've been working predominantly on children's books. I love to create picture books, covers, comics and chapter books.  Throughout these years,  I’ve illustrated over a dozen books, collaborating with publishers and independent authors in Brasil and abroad.

Most of my work is digital, but it all starts with paper, pencil, and ink. I love experimenting with traditional media, especially colored pencils.

 

 I'm a great believer in the power of art and how it teaches and transforms, so I try to inspire through my work every day.
